Portofino, Cinque Terre south we sailed.

San Pietro church suddenly unveiled.

 

We entered The Gulf of Poets to dock,

Like Edinburgh Castle built on massive rock.

 

Sea, winds, salt, time no match to foundation,

A stone church that captured my imagination.

 

13th century church, the rock came first.
